Job Summary :
The Senior Network Security Presales Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise and security solutions design during the presales phase. This role involves understanding customer security requirements, designing appropriate network security solutions, delivering technical presentations and demonstrations, and ensuring that proposed solutions meet both customer needs and organizational standards. The Presales Engineer works closely with vendors, sales teams, and technical teams to drive successful solution adoption and business growth.
Job Description :
- Analyze customer requirements and design secure network solutions that align with business and technical needs.
- Recommend appropriate security products and technologies such as firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and network access control.
- Prepare high-level and low-level solution designs, architecture diagrams, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with industry best practices and security standards.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
- Conduct product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POC), and technical workshops for customers.
- Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs with detailed technical solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate solution configuration and pricing.
- Engage with customers to understand their security challenges and business objectives.
- Deliver technical presentations and explain complex security solutions in a clear and business-focused manner.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and act as a technical advisor during the presales stage.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and threats in network and cybersecurity.
- Maintain strong knowledge of leading security vendors and their solutions.
- Support internal training sessions for the sales team on new security products and technologies.
- Work closely with the implementation and technical teams to ensure smooth project handover after the sale.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners for solution validation, certification, and technical support.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 57 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or presales engineering roles.
- Experience working with enterprise security solutions and vendors.
- Strong knowledge of network security architecture and protocols.
- Experience with security solutions such as:
- Next-Generation Firewalls
- VPN technologies
- IDS/IPS
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Endpoint security solutions
- Email and web security solutions
- Familiarity with major vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, or similar.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, etc.).
- Security certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or vendor certifications (Fortinet NSE, Cisco Security, etc.).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for customers.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
