Senior Network Security Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking Senior Network Security Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of dedicated experience in Fortinet technologies, specifically focused on FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).

In this role, you won't just be managing hardware; you will be the primary technical authority and trusted advisor for our environment. You will bridge the gap between complex architectural design and daily operational excellence, ensuring our security posture remains robust, updated, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

Expert Troubleshooting: Lead and collaborate in high-stakes troubleshooting sessions. You will identify root causes, resolve complex technical bottlenecks, and meticulously document solutions to build a reliable internal knowledge base.

Strategic Advisory: Act as the subject matter expert (SME). Provide actionable insights, technical recommendations, and stay ahead of industry trends to ensure our infrastructure follows global best practices.

Knowledge Transfer: Empower the wider team by conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, elevating the collective skill set of our operations department.

Lifecycle Management: Own the upgrade and patching roadmap. You will plan, execute, and validate firmware upgrades and security patches according to vendor recommendations and compliance standards.

Operational Resilience: Serve as the first point of contact for critical operational challenges, facilitating rapid resolution and continuously refining processes to improve system uptime.

Candidate Requirements

Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in network security, with a heavy focus on the Fortinet Security Fabric (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).

Technical Depth: Mastery of FortiOS, SD-WAN, VPN (IPsec/SSL), High Availability (HA) configurations, and deep-packet inspection.

Certifications: NSE 4/5/6 are required; NSE 7 (Enterprise Firewall) or higher is strongly preferred.

Soft Skills: Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and a cool-under-pressure approach to troubleshooting.

Documentation: A disciplined approach to change management and technical documentation.
