Job Description

Reports to: Executive Director for Programming

Purpose: The job holder will be responsible for the efficient administration, operations, and programming support for AUC Tahrir square initiatives. This role ensures seamless daily office functions and the successful planning and execution

of events by coordinating logistics and technical needs with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

● Event Planning and Logistics Management: Manage and execute comprehensive logistical and technical requirements for events and exhibitions, including venue coordination, technical setup, and ticketing platform oversight and collaborate with the programming team to ensure successful execution of all unit events and initiatives

● Operational Support and Coordination: Provide essential operational support by liaising with all management and operations functions, such as security, maintenance, IT, and food services, to ensure timely event support

● Coordinate with maintenance staff for facility upkeep and set-up and collaborating with IT support for equipment maintenance

● Administrative and Financial Management: Execute daily administrative operations of the office, including scheduling, correspondence, inventory, comprehensive financial record-keeping for programming activities, such as tracking expenditures and managing receipts, coordinating event approvals with external governmental and regulatory bodies, and acting as a central liaison with internal management and operations functions for seamless support

● General Support: Perform other essential duties as required

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:

● Bachelor's degree in business administration, event management, arts management, or a related field

● Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in administrative, operations, or programming roles, with demonstrated ability to coordinate complex activities and stakeholders

Technical Skills:

● Communication and Interpersonal: Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic

● Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and client-focused communication skills

● Organizational and Problem-Solving: Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities

● Capacity for independent decision-making

● Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office

● Adaptability: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support campus events
