We are currently seeking a Senior Officer - Vendor Registration & Qualifications for one of our very well-known Government client, to be based in their Dubai office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand and maintain an up-to-date supplier database aligned with the annual procurement and contracting plan.
- Continuously identify and source qualified suppliers capable of meeting the organization's needs.
- Communicate with suppliers to collect, review, and verify qualification and registration documents.
- Review and analyze suppliers legal and financial documents (e.g., trade licenses, tax certificates, bank details).
- Classify suppliers based on activity type, sector, and technical eligibility.
- Maintain supplier records securely and ensure proper documentation, archiving, and easy retrieval.
- Update supplier data by adding, removing, or modifying records in accordance with policies and management instructions.
- Coordinate supplier performance evaluations with internal departments and update evaluation records accordingly.
- Communicate performance feedback and observations to suppliers based on internal assessments.
- Monitor supplier performance indicators and coordinate with procurement teams regarding any performance issues.
- Qualify suppliers for approved projects within the annual procurement plan.
- Participate in procurement and contract management improvement initiatives.
- Prepare periodic reports and presentations as directed by the direct supervisor.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in vendor management, procurement, or supplier qualification.
