Job Description:
With the continued growth of our business, we are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join our Middle Office team in Dubai. This role will be pivotal in overseeing operational processes, ensuring accuracy across fund operations, and driving efficiency as the firm expands globally. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between front office, compliance, and external service providers, while managing a small team and contributing to strategic operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Lead and supervise daily fund operations including trade capture, settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations, and fee payments.
- Fund Accounting & Valuations: Oversee NAV calculations, management and performance fee processes, and ensure timely and accurate fund valuations.
- Risk & Margin Monitoring: Monitor fund margins and exposures, escalating issues proactively to senior management.
- Compliance Coordination: Partner with Compliance to prepare and submit regulatory reports (e.g., short selling, transaction reporting).
- Service Provider Management: Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and prime brokers to ensure accuracy and efficiency in operational workflows.
- Investor Operations: Coordinate fund flows including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and switches, ensuring seamless investor experience.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to operational processes, systems, and controls to support scalability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
- 48 years of relevant experience in hedge funds, asset management, fund administration, or auditing.
- Strong knowledge of fund operations, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with portfolio management systems (e.g., Eze Eclipse) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under pressure.
- Open to relocation; role will be based in Dubai.
