About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Oracle APEX Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade web applications using Oracle APEX. You will play a key role in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex applications using Oracle APEX
- Lead end-to-end application development, from requirements gathering to deployment
- Optimize database performance using Oracle PL/SQL
- Integrate Oracle APEX applications with external systems (REST APIs, web services)
- Implement best practices for security, performance, and scalability
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to development standards
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software development, with strong focus on Oracle APEX
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, SQL tuning, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with APEX UI components, dynamic actions, and interactive reports
- Experience integrating APEX with RESTful services
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle ORDS
- Knowledge of APEX security models and authentication mechanisms
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Prior experience in enterprise or government projects
