Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our Oracle-based solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance database applications and ensure data integrity, security, and reliability across all environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to support business requirements.
  • Lead complex data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization to meet SLA targets.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Implement data migration, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality controls.
  • Establish and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.
  • Mentor junior developers, review code, and contribute to architectural decisions and design reviews.
  • Ensure security, backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies are implemented and tested.

Required Qualifications

5-9 years of experience in Oracle database development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Database 12c/19c/21c administration and development experience
  • Experience with Oracle APEX, SQL Developer, and performance tuning tools
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, indexing, partitioning, and SQL plan management
  • Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate or other data replication technologies
  • Experience with cloud-based Oracle deployments (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle) is a plus
  • Previous experience in financial services, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise systems is a plus
