Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements while contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality piping (Plant) engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Duties
Piping Engineering Activities
- Contribute to the development of piping (Plant) design requirements for pipeline facilities, including valve stations, pump stations, scraper/launcher stations, and associated aboveground and underground piping systems.
- Coordinate and review feasibility studies, piping layout considerations, constructability assessments, and associated engineering risks to support project decision-making.
- Coordinate piping system design under the direction of the Construction Manager/ Project Manager, including routing development, isometric preparation review, pipe support design, and line designation in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare and review piping engineering deliverables such as plot plans, piping layouts, isometric drawings, MTOs, piping specifications, and fabrication documents.
- Support construction teams by clarifying piping design requirements and addressing engineering queries during fabrication, installation, and hydrotesting activities.
- Participate in inspections, dimensional checks, welding fit-up verifications, and quality control activities to ensure piping works comply with design standards and technical specifications.
- Review piping stress analysis reports and support implementation of stress-related design adjustments, ensuring adequate flexibility, support, and code compliance.
- Support piping integrity assessments and contribute to recommendations related to piping repairs, rerouting, or reinforcement measures.
- Lead on the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for piping systems associated with pipeline facilities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Pipeline, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, I&C, QA/QC, Procurement, Operations) to resolve piping-related technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations, vendor/subcontractor document reviews, FAT/SAT activities related to skid packages, and piping engineering workshops (constructability reviews, HAZID).
- Stay updated with industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to pipeline design, construction, and maintenance.
