Job Summary
The Senior Plant & Machinery Inspector is responsible for conducting detailed inspections of plant, machinery, vehicles, and oilfield equipment to ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards. The role focuses on maintaining equipment reliability, identifying defects, and ensuring safe operation of machinery used in multi-disciplinary oil & gas projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of vehicles, heavy machinery, and equipment used in oil & gas and construction projects.
- Conduct safety inspections of cranes, forklifts, trailers, trucks, and lifting equipment.
- Inspect oilfield equipment including pumps, valves, pressure vessels, pipelines, and production machinery.
- Verify compliance of plant & machinery with regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
- Identify defects, malfunctions, and maintenance requirements and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment condition, functionality, and maintenance records.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, checklists, and documentation for audits and compliance.
- Assess potential hazards related to machinery, electrical risks, and operational safety.
- Coordinate with maintenance, HSE, and project teams to ensure equipment readiness and safety.
Mandatory Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Plant & Machinery inspection in multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, or Industrial Projects.
- Strong knowledge of machinery inspection standards, safety regulations, and maintenance practices.
- GCC project experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, inspection procedures, and compliance standards.
