Job Title: Senior Power Engineer – Railway Project
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Power Engineer to join our team for a prestigious Railway Infrastructure Project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in railway power systems design, implementation, and coordination across large-scale transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and review of railway power supply systems, including traction power, auxiliary power, LV/MV distribution, and substations
- Prepare and review technical drawings, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and design reports
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, MEP, signaling, and track engineers
- Ensure compliance with railway standards, local authority regulations, and international codes
- Manage design consultants, subcontractors, and technical submissions
- Support project execution, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
- Conduct technical risk assessments and value engineering studies
- Attend client and consultant meetings for technical discussions and approvals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Power Engineering
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in power engineering, with significant experience in railway / metro / rail infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of traction power systems, substations, UPS, backup power, SCADA integration, and related railway electrical systems
- Experience with international railway standards and authority approvals
- Proficiency in engineering software and design tools
- Excellent coordination and leadership skills
Preferred:
- Experience in metro, tram, high-speed rail, or freight rail projects
- GCC / Middle East project experience is an advantage
- Immediate joiners preferred
