Role Overview
The Senior / Principal Jet Fuel Engineer will lead the design review, construction oversight, and project management of aviation fuel systems within airport environments. The role ensures compliance with international standards while delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review engineering designs, drawings, models, and technical specifications in line with international and local standards.
- Manage projects from initiation through testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Prepare RFP documents including scope, BOQs, and evaluation criteria.
- Lead technical evaluations of proposals and manage bidder queries.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and overall performance.
- Coordinate with project controls teams to track progress and costs.
- Manage stakeholders including clients, contractors, consultants, and designers.
- Lead meetings and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in aviation fuel systems projects.
- Proven experience in design review, construction oversight, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of international fuel standards (ICAO, NFPA, API, ASTM, JIG, etc.).
- Experience in airport projects, PMC, or consulting environments is preferred.
Professional Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of fuel systems design and piping/hydraulic analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering design and modeling software.
- Excellent project management, cost control, and scheduling skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
