At Jacobs, ports aren t just structures but are ways we connect people and goods. We re seeking a Senior Process Engineer to perform everyday project tasks for a variety of clients. Based in Dubai, you ll have an opportunity to work on projects across the Middle East with the support of a global team.
Make a difference. You will have experience in LNG Plant/Terminal design, Gas Processing Units and be responsible for developing the process concepts, conducting FEED Design and Detailed Design Project.
You will oversee the preparation of the Process Basis of Design, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) alongside the preparation or review of process narratives. You will have autonomy over process modeling and prepare simulation reports (steady state and dynamic) and will carry out hydraulics and equipment sizing (vessel, pump, tanks, control valve, relief valves etc). You will have the opportunity to review other discipline deliverables such as layout, mechanical data sheet, instrument data sheet etc.
You will need a flair for collaboration as you will interact with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and provide technical support and recommendations. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with other disciplines to achieve overall system design alongside the BIM team to provide inputs for 3D models and 2D layouts. You will be able to conduct quality control checks and inspections to ensure the successful implementation of designs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Profile:
As a successful candidate you will have a degree in Chemical Engineering with in-depth technical knowledge of liquefaction and LNG Storage & Off-Loading systems. Commissioning experience of LNG plant/terminal, design of Green Ammonia/Hydrogen Unit is required. Experienced in process software such as Aspen HYSYS, Flarenet, PipeSim, Pipenet or AFT. Fully conversant with standards like API, SHELL DEP, ASME.
