Senior Procurement Engineer

Job Title : Procurement Senior Engineer

Key responsibilities :

• Manage end-to-end procurement of energy meters, metering components, electronic assemblies, communication modules (and related accessories.
• Source and qualify suppliers for meter enclosures, PCBs, metrology ICs, current transformers, and firmware-related hardware
• Evaluate and negotiate with international and local vendors for smart metering solutions & components.
• Review technical specifications & standards compliance requirements, to ensure procurement aligns with project specs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, R&D, and Quality teams to validate supplier samples and conduct technical approval processes.
• Issue RFQs, RFPs, and tenders; prepare detailed techno-commercial bid evaluation reports and recommendation memos
• Manage frame agreements and long-term supply contracts with strategic meter component suppliers
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and resolve supply chain disruptions affecting production or project timelines
• Coordinate international purchasing including import documentation, payment terms, customs clearance, and incoterms management.
• Track and report procurement KPIs & objectives.
• Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing alternative components and conducting market benchmarking.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, delegation of authority, and internal/ External audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate records on ERP systems covering POs, contracts, and vendor master data

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Electric, Electronic, Mechatronics or supply chain Engineering.
• From 2 to 5 years of experience in technical procurement
• Excellent Spoken and written English communication skills.
