Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Procurement Engineer manages the procurement of technical materials and services to support project and operational requirements. The role involves supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and timely delivery of quality goods in line with project specifications, company policies, and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Coordinate with project teams to understand technical and procurement requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers; negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Review technical specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle from requisition to delivery and resolve supply issues.
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and support HSE and IMS compliance.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, and contract negotiation.
  • Technical understanding of engineering specifications and materials.
  • Analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • ERP proficiency; SAP experience preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years total experience with 5 years in relevant procurement roles.
  • GCC experience is an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related technical certification.
