Job Summary:
The Senior Procurement Manager plans and manages all buying activities for the company. This includes creating strategies, building relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and making sure purchases are cost-effective and high-quality. The role also involves improving procurement operations, managing budgets, following rules, and analysing market trends to support the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Create and share the company's supply strategy with all stakeholders.
- Use market insights to make smart decisions and beat competitors.
Supplier Management:
- Build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure suppliers deliver quality on time.
Cost & Efficiency:
- Identify savings opportunities and manage budgets effectively.
- Improve processes, simplify work, and remove unnecessary steps.
- Lead programs to reduce costs and improve cash flow.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor procurement teams.
- Work with executives and managers across the company to align goals.
- Break down barriers to deliver excellent internal and external service.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure procurement follows all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor metrics and tools to make sourcing and supplier management better.
- Take action to reduce risks and find new opportunities.
- Drive operational excellence and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Expert in procurement, sourcing, contracts, and supplier management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical skills for cost analysis and market trends.
- Experienced in complex procurement projects and regulatory compliance.
- Great communication and negotiation abilities.
- ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).
Experience Required:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role, with 3 years of GCC experience considered a plus.
- Architect or Civil Engineer with demonstrated experience delivering luxury interior fit-out projects to the highest quality standards.
