Production Engineer is a member of Breadfast`s family who is responsible for producing the daily plan provided by the planning team, considering 100% fulfillment of this plan while maintaining the quality of the finished goods.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Making sure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments.
- Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques.
- Planning and designing new production processes.
- Producing details of specifications and outline designs.
- Using research, analytical, conceptual, and planning skills.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
- Evaluate the final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety.
- Managing activities including Product Development, Project Management, Food Safety & Quality Management System, Budgeting, Production Planning, Customer Support, and Cost Optimization.
- Meeting production schedules while holding production costs in check, bringing in return significant reductions, and deploying process improvement strategies.
- Managing the entire Operations, conducting internal process quality audits, overseeing the maintenance of production lines, conducting tests for checking the quality of products, and maintaining working standards as per requirements and standardization.
- Achieve the unit's production and profitability objectives, proven competencies in judiciously managing manpower, machines, and materials resources to generate maximum operational efficiency as well.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 57 years of experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial production; bakery or ready-to-eat production experience is a strong plus.
- Proven experience supervising production lines, optimizing operations, and leading floor teams.
- Ability to plan daily production schedules and align output with demand.
- Skilled in monitoring quality parameters, minimizing defects, and ensuring consistent product standards.
- Strong understanding of manpower planning, workload distribution, and shift management.
- Experience implementing preventive and corrective maintenance plans with the engineering team.
