Job Description
The Senior Project Manager leads and facilitates the end-to-end delivery of large and complex projects, applying ASMO's project management methodology to achieve project goals on scope, time, quality, and cost as agreed in the business case and project charter. The role leads and coaches a team of Project Managers to successfully deliver on assigned projects, overseeing entry- to mid-level project managers across ASMO's project portfolio. It is assigned to large-scale projects across ASMO's network within Saudi Arabia, requiring occasional travel to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability, and delivery of large-scale complex projects; develop detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Manage the budget and scope of projects, document scope changes, and gain approval from required parties to ensure benefit realization; resolve spending issues and report progress on an ongoing basis.
Obtain feedback from key stakeholders and provide accurate reporting at critical milestones; manage stakeholder relationships and establish reporting structures within the project team.
Lead and coach a small team of mid- to junior-level Project Managers; identify project resources, roles, responsibilities, and subject matter experts required to deliver business benefits.
Manage issues on projects, drive resolution for a satisfactory outcome, and escalate issues as appropriate; function as a subject matter expert in areas of expertise (e.g., automation, IT systems, inventory control).
Implement ASMO's project management methodology and risk management process, ensuring project status is accurately maintained in the project management system; deliver best-practice project documentation to quality standards and manage change through ASMO's change management approach.
Manage project performance against business cases and implement action plans to ensure benefit realization; manage performance to health and safety standards; implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement; contribute to timely and accurate reporting.
Qualifications And Experience
University degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.
Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) preferred.
Minimum 5–8 Years Experience In Logistics (essential).
Project management methodology, change management, and process improvement practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
