LC&Partners Project Management and Engineering is an international multidisciplinary Construction Project Management and Integrated Engineering Consultancy Firm, active in projects for transport infrastructures, civil, military and industrial buildings, energy and environment, with presences in Milan, Verona, Dubai, Abu Dhabi ,Kampala and Osaka.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager ,the resource will be part of a dedicated Project Management Team for one of our prestigious governmental Client in Qatar, supporting them to manage consultants and stakeholders for a wide and complex Project with two min facilities in the hospitality and educational sector.
The successful candidate will undertake the following duties :
- Based on Amiri Diwan's objectives for this project, ensure that the entire Project scope is defined;
- Breakdown the Project scope in works packages and ensure all packages are assigned to the internal team and/or to external consultants;
- Procure quotations for the services to be performed by external consultants, if any, and provide recommendations for their awarding;
- Clearly assign responsibilities to the internal team and to external consultants (responsibility matrix);
- Develop comprehensive project schedule and budget, and monitor and control them during Project execution;
- Identify potential risks and issues which could impact Project outcomes;
- Develop, if required, risk response plans and ensure they are implemented;
- Monitor Project progress and prepare periodical status reports and presentations to Amiri Diwan's management, identifying any variance and proposing control actions;
- Manage changes by evaluating their impact and timely obtaining necessary approvals;
- Identify Project stakeholders, and maintain clear and effective communication with them;
- Lead the Project closure process, including handover of deliverables and documentation to the Investor's team.
Key Requirements/Qualification:
- Degree in Project Management / Architecture / Engineering / Construction or related fields;
- PMP or other Project Management certification highly desirable;
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with proven experience as Project Manager in hospitality or leisure projects;
- Significant experience in the GCC region.
- Experience liaising with governmental entities in Qatar is a plus;
- Native or fluent Arabic speaker;
- Experience in Procurement of consultants and Contracts preparation, negotiation and administration;
- Commercial acumen and initiative;
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills;
- Hands-on attitude, proactive and problem solver.
