Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with strong expertise in the Banking and Financial Services domain to lead and deliver complex, high-impact projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project execution, coordinating cross-functional and multi-stakeholder teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale banking projects from initiation through closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including business teams, IT, vendors, and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, risk management, and security standards.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
- Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and executive-level documentation.
- Manage project budgets, resource planning, and allocation.
- Drive project execution using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies, as appropriate.
- Ensure quality assurance and successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably within Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of banking processes including:
- Core Banking
- Payments
- Lending
- Digital Banking
- Experience working with regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.
- Experience working with global or distributed teams.
- Exposure to digital transformation, system migration, or core banking implementation projects.
