Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance / Team lead - Waste Management & Recycling
Job Summary
The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and continuously improving quality standards across all operational, traceability, and sustainability projects. The role ensures full compliance with internal SOPs, client SLAs, regulatory requirements, and data integrity standards while acting as a key governance and assurance function supporting Operations, Project Management, and Senior Leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Framework & Governance
Design, implement, and maintain quality management frameworks, SOPs, and control mechanisms across all operational projects
Ensure alignment with client SLAs, brand owner requirements, traceability standards, and regulatory obligations
Act as the quality authority for operational processes, data integrity, and project execution
Audits, Inspections & Compliance
Plan and conduct regular internal audits, field inspections, and compliance reviews across operations, recyclers, traders, and field teams
Lead root cause analysis for quality non-conformities and oversee corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs)
Ensure readiness for external audits, client assessments, and governmental inspections
Maintain audit records, findings, and compliance documentation
Data Quality & Traceability Assurance
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across systems, dashboards, and traceability platforms (including Dawar)
Define and enforce data validation rules and quality checkpoints
Monitor data flows from field operations to dashboards and reports
Flag data integrity risks and ensure timely resolution
Operational Quality & Performance Monitoring
Monitor operational performance against quality KPIs, SLAs, and defined standards
Conduct process walk-throughs and spot checks to ensure adherence to SOPs
Support Operations Manager and Project Leaders with quality insights and improvement recommendations
Verify corrective actions are implemented and effective
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Operations Manager, Project Leaders, Team Leaders, Technology, and Finance teams to embed quality into daily operations
Provide quality-related inputs to brand owner reports and executive dashboards
Act as the quality point of contact during client communications and escalations
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
Identify systemic quality risks, operational gaps, and recurring issues
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, cost efficiency, and risk reduction
Recommend enhancements to operational workflows, tools, and controls
Support scaling of operations while maintaining quality consistency
Training & Quality Culture
Develop and deliver quality training programs for operations, project teams, and field staff
Promote a culture of quality ownership, accountability, and compliance across the organization
Coach team leaders and supervisors on quality best practices and standards
Reporting & Executive Communication
Prepare quality performance reports, audit summaries, and compliance dashboards
Report quality performance, risks, and improvement actions to the Operations Manager and Directors
Support board-level or senior management reporting related to quality, compliance, and operational assurance
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, Environmental Studies, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management, preferably in waste management, recycling, logistics, manufacturing, or sustainability-driven operations.
Strong experience in audits, compliance, SOP development, and process control.
Proven exposure to traceability systems, data quality management, and operational dashboards.
Proven hands-on experience using quality audit tools and software for planning, executing, documenting, and tracking audits and corrective actions.
Strong familiarity with audit checklists, CAPA tracking tools, compliance dashboards, and quality reporting systems.
Ability to design, customize, and maintain digital audit tools aligned with operational SOPs and client SLAs.
Certifications (Preferred / Required - Adjust As Needed)
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor (preferred)
Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
Quality Management or Process Improvement certification
Environmental or sustainability-related certifications (advantage)
