Senior quality engineer we're looking for
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance and control expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest quality standards. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Installation, Test & Commissioning, and Subcontractor Management), lead quality inspections, and implement preventive measures to maintain excellence in our operations.
You'll specifically take care of ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control rules and procedures, but also support installation and testing teams to meet Alstom's quality expectations.
We'll look to you for:
- Ensuring that Quality Assurance and Quality Control rules and procedures are implemented and followed by subcontractors to meet Alstom's standards.
- Participating in 4M reviews for quality assurance prior to installation and testing phases.
- Ensuring the quality of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), equipment installation, and Test & Commissioning (T&C).
- Identifying and solving potential quality defects to prevent recurrence.
- Tracking and reporting the cost of non-quality (CONQ) and implementing measures to prevent such occurrences.
- Reviewing equipment installation method statements to ensure compliance with Alstom and customer requirements.
- Preparing quality control plans, including tests, inspections, and required evidence.
- Overseeing subcontractor testing and inspections, validating inspection sheets, and ensuring proper documentation of results.
- Investigating and analyzing on-site quality issues and providing solutions.
- Reviewing and validating handover files from the installation team before submission to the client.
- Issuing and tracking non-conformance reports related to materials, execution, and workmanship, and ensuring remedial actions are implemented.
- Performing regular audits and ensuring the resolution of any identified issues.
- Maintaining and organizing all site quality documents, including inspection and test records, method statements, and checklists.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechatronics).
- 3-5 years of experience in project environments.
- Work experience in communication systems and platform screen doors (preferred).
- Quality assurance and control experience (recommended).
- Familiarity with working in matrix organizations (railway experience is an advantage).
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint applications.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (French is an advantage).
- Strong communication skills with a focus on transparency and ethical behavior.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make timely, informed decisions.
- Organized, resilient, and results-oriented with a rigorous mindset.
- Teamwork and leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and reliability.
