Role Purpose
To ensure the implementation of the company's quality standards and project specifications through systematic inspection, testing, and documentation across all construction activities. The Senior Quality Control Engineer plays a key role in ensuring compliance, preventing rework, and promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise and perform inspections of site works, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Prepare and review quality control documentation, including ITPs, checklists, and material approvals.
- Coordinate with construction teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor and verify that all materials and equipment used meet project quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality control records, test reports, and NCRs.
- Support internal and external audits and follow up on audit findings.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality training programs.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in quality control within the construction industry, preferably on large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, international codes, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ACI, ASTM).
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
- Experience with quality management systems and inspection tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, PMP, CQE) are a plus.
