This role is responsible for the quantity surveying functions across development projects, ensuring alignment with budget, timelines, and company policies. The Senior Quantity Surveyor manage cost planning, review external cost consultants, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
Day to Day Tasks
- Review, check, and provide guidance on all matters related to Commercial Management, and post contract administration including contractual correspondence.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with Consultants, Project Directors/Managers, and Development Directors/Managers as necessary to carry out the quantity surveying functions within the Commercial Department.
- Ensure that commercial activities align with the overall Development program.
- Check and review the cost estimates at all stages of the development cycle.
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, and change management processes across various projects.
- Oversee and coordinate all Quantity Surveying, and Commercial Management functions ensuring adherence to company policies,
- Advise on contractual entitlement for all variations and claims
- Knowledge in administration extension of time for completion
- Keep the Line Manager and Senior Director Commercial informed of ongoing activities, developments, and issues, and seek advice or guidance on matters impacting the project.
- Review and plan responses to exceptional issues within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Proactively collaborate with the Line Manager and Senior Director Commercial, presenting results from assigned studies and addressing any concerns that could affect project performance.
- Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures, and objectives as set by Management, ensuring the design and implementation of strategies, systems, controls, and programs to support these objectives.
- Ensure that project budgets are adhered to and report any concerns.
- Oversee the proper administration of contracts and consultancy agreements in accordance with standard contract conditions and consultancy agreements.
- Support and manage Quantity Surveyors in the execution of their assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
- Total 10-12 years of experience with 2-3 Years of Experience in Quantity Surveying in Property Development, and/or Consultancy
