The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the cost management process within construction projects. This role is vital to ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, thereby contributing directly to the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and budgeting for construction projects.
- Prepare and review tender documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to stakeholders, highlighting key insights.
- Review and validate contractor payments and variations to ensure alignment with the project scope.
- Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage financial exposure.
- Lead the preparation of feasibility studies and cash flow forecasts.
- Mentor and train junior quantity surveyors, fostering their professional development.
- Implement best practices in cost management and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in project meetings, providing expert input on financial aspects.
- Utilize analytical skills to identify trends and improve cost efficiency across projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.

Experience Requirements
