With a strong reputation for quality, precision, and timely project delivery, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team.
Role Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of fit-out projects, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and financial performance from tender stage through project completion. The role requires strong experience within the UAE market, particularly in high-end interior fit-out works.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for interior fit-out projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization exercises
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison reports
- Assist in contract negotiations and finalization
Post-Contract Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets and cost reporting
- Prepare interim valuations and payment applications
- Monitor variations and prepare variation claims
- Conduct subcontractor assessments, payment certifications, and final account settlements
- Ensure cost control and financial tracking throughout project lifecycle
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks
Commercial & Contract Management
- Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC and UAE construction standards
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
- Prepare and negotiate claims, extensions of time, and dispute resolutions
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients on commercial matters
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 812 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years in UAE fit-out projects
- Strong knowledge of UAE market rates and subcontractor networks
- Proven experience in high-end commercial, hospitality, or retail fit-out projects
- Sound knowledge of FIDIC contracts
- Proficient in cost management software and MS Office
- Professional membership (RICS or equivalent) preferred
