About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile transportation infrastructure project in Doha as part of the client's delivery team. This is a critical role within a major program that will shape the region's future mobility, offering the opportunity to contribute to complex, large-scale works in a dynamic project environment. The position is predominantly post-contract and requires a commercially astute professional with strong stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead post-contract commercial management across significant infrastructure work packages.
- Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project procedures.
- Manage variations, claims, and change control processes, providing robust commercial recommendations.
- Review and negotiate contractor submissions, including interim valuations and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Provide strategic commercial advice to senior project leadership.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution activities where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with project controls, technical teams, and external stakeholders to maintain commercial integrity.
Requirements
- MRICS accreditation is essential.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in quantity surveying, with a strong track record on large infrastructure and/or transportation projects.
- Demonstrated post-contract expertise on complex, high-value projects.
- Prior client-side or consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC) and commercial best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within multidisciplinary, international project teams.
