Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially drivenSenior Quantity Surveyor (Senior QS)to manage all cost and contractual aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered within budget while maximizing profitability and maintaining compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for assigned projects.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documentation.
- Manage the tendering process, including bid evaluation and recommendation.
- Administer contracts in accordance with project requirements and company policies.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor packages and agreements.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Prepare interim valuations, progress payments, and final accounts.
- Assess and manage variations, claims, and change orders.
- Conduct risk and value management assessments.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior management.
- Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of contract forms (e.g., FIDIC).
- Excellent understanding of cost control and commercial management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
