About the Opportunity
A leading real estate developer is seeking a Senior Site Architect / Design Manager to join its on-site project team delivering a high-quality, hospitality-led residential development in the UAE. This is a key role responsible for ensuring that the architectural design vision is executed with precision, quality, and integrity throughout the construction phase.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a design-led, experience-driven project, where attention to detail and build quality are critical to the end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and respond to shop drawings across architectural and landscape packages
- Manage and respond to RFIs, ensuring clarity and protection of design intent
- Review and approve material submittals, alternatives, and substitutions
- Assess contractor-proposed vendors and subcontractors for architectural scopes
- Conduct regular site inspections and walks to monitor quality and compliance
- Identify and address design deviations and non-conformances proactively
- Lead and manage snagging processes, ensuring timely resolution
- Coordinate closely with construction teams to ensure alignment with design and specifications
Candidate Requirements
- 8–10+ years experience in architecture (6–8 years considered with strong site exposure)
- Proven experience in a site-based role representing client or consultant
- Background in hospitality, hotels, or high-end residential projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, materials, and construction quality standards
- Demonstrated experience in shop drawing review, RFIs, inspections, and snagging
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture
- Professional registration (RIBA, AIA, ARB, or equivalent) is advantageous
- A strong portfolio of delivered projects is essential
