As a Senior Site Engineer - Electrical, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Electrical installations and activities on the Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects and Sub station Projects meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will conduct inspections, tests, and audits to verify that the construction and installation processes are executed correctly and safely. collaborating with project managers to develop project plans and schedules, ensuring that milestones are met on time and within budget, and monitoring and reporting project progress to senior management

Manage and oversee Electrical activities and interfacing from inception to completion

Ensuring compliance with contract requirements, design specifications, applicable codes and regulatory requirements to ascertain quality and safety.

Be well versed with the applicable codes, local regulations and industry standards to discharge duties

Prepare project progress reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for client review and approval

Collaborate with site staff, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans and schedules

Ensure the timely completion of project milestones within the allocated budget.

Electrical System Design

Reviewing and interpreting electrical engineering drawings and specifications, providing input to optimize electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and regulations are essential tasks

Review of site related documentations like method statements, installation drawings, site testing procedures etc.

Review of decommissioning study, feasibility study and associated risk assessment

Provide technical support during construction activities and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.

Collaborate with design teams to review engineering drawings , specifications, and technical documents

Ensure strict compliance with local codes and regulations

Addressing technical queries and providing solutions to any challenges encountered during implementation

Installation and Testing

Supervising the installation of electrical systems and equipment on-site, conducting regular inspections to ensure quality and safety, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities are key duties

Conduct thorough inspections of Electrical installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

Perform testing and commissioning of Electricalsystems including but not limited to, loop checks, function tests, and system performance verification.

Document and report any non-conformances or defects and follow up on corrective actions.

Raising the NCR (Non-Compliance Report) as and when any non-compliance found by EPC/contractors. Also, guide the EPC/contractors to resolve the issues to meet the project requirements/codes and standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power generation projects

Experience with Closed/Open Cycle Gas Turbine Projects and Sub station Projects

Professional engineering license is preffered.

In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards

Proven experience in project management and team leadership
