Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of Microsoft Windows Server environments across multiple sites.
- Architect, implement, and maintain Active Directory, including forests, domains, GPOs, federation, identity management, and security hardening.
- Oversee administration and optimization of Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online and related collaboration services.
- Manage and architect Microsoft Azure solutions, including compute, storage, networking, security, and governance.
- Drive infrastructure modernization, including migration projects (on-prem to cloud, domain restructuring, etc.).
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and maintenance.
- Build and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell to optimize operational tasks.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex system issues and lead root-cause analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team skill development.
- Establish and enforce infrastructure best practices, compliance standards, and security policies.
- Prepare high-quality technical documentation, solution designs, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 57+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Systems Engineering roles.
- Expert knowledge of:
- Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)
- Active Directory (multisite, replication, ADCS, ADFS, GPO management)
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune)
- Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, identity)
- Virtualization platforms (Hyper-V / VMware)
- DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, load balancing, failover clustering
- Strong experience in automation using PowerShell or similar scripting.
- Deep understanding of security hardening, patch management, compliance (ISO, NIST, etc.).
- Proven track record of leading complex technical projects and implementations.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Windows Server / Infrastructure certifications
- VMware or other virtualization certifications are a plus.
