Senior Software Engineer / Tech-lead potential

hands on role with Tech Lead responsibility

2026 is an execution focused year for us. We are launching our first core product, delivering selected client projects and building a solid technical foundation that can scale long term. We are a small team with high standards, short decision paths and a strong focus on building things properly from the start.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up and wants to take technical ownership in a growing team.

This is a hands on role, not a theoretical architect position and not a pure people management role.

You will act as a technical lead across our products, with a strong focus on backend, shared systems and overall technical structure. You will not be expected to be a deep specialist in every platform, but you are expected to set direction, ensure quality and support platform specific developers. As the company grows, you will play an important role in shaping the technical team together with the founders and COO.

Hands on development

• Build and maintain core backend services and shared systems
• Write clean, maintainable and scalable code
• Take ownership of technical decisions in daily development

Technical leadership

• Set technical direction across products
• Ensure consistency across APIs, data models and integrations
• Support developers with architectural and technical guidance

Team shaping and hiring collaboration

• Contribute to shaping the technical team as products and projects grow
• Act as a technical sparring partner in hiring decisions
• Help define which roles and competencies are needed for our products
• Support interviews and technical assessments when needed
• Ensure the team structure supports quality, scalability and maintainability

Structure and quality

• Set up and maintain GitHub workflows, repositories and pull request practices
• Establish pragmatic coding standards and review processes
• Ensure high code quality and long term maintainability

AI exposure

• Work with AI integrations and APIs where it creates real value
• Support practical use of AI tools in development workflows
• Focus on usability and impact rather than hype

You likely have:

• 3 to 6 years of professional software development experience
• Strong backend skills and solid system design understanding
• Experience working in structured development environments
• Experience collaborating with designers and cross functional teams
• Experience with Git workflows, code reviews and CI CD
