Are you a detail-oriented engineer who thrives on breaking things—not to cause chaos, but to build bulletproof software We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Testing to join our quality engineering team in Cairo. In this role, you will be the guardian of our product's reliability, designing and executing robust test strategies across our core platforms. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure every release meets the highest standards of performance, security, and user experience. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.

- Design and implement scalable automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar) for web and API testing.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and load testing on complex software systems.

- Collaborate with software engineers to review code, identify potential defects, and improve testability of new features.

- Drive a shift-left testing culture: participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to catch issues early.

- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution, ensuring fast and reliable feedback loops.

- Investigate and report defects with clear reproduction steps, logs, and impact analysis. Track issues to closure.

- Define quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, pass rates) and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

- Mentor junior test engineers, conduct code reviews on test code, and promote best practices in test automation.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends in testing tools, methodologies, and quality assurance standards.

Job Requirements

Must-Have:

- 5+ years of professional experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead testing role.

- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#) for writing test automation.

- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest).

- Solid understanding of testing types: unit (with dev teams), integration, end-to-end, smoke, and performance testing.

- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).

- Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.

- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) for cross-team collaboration.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice-to-Have:

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6.

- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for test environments.

- ISTQB Advanced Level certification or similar QA certifications.

- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android) or cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Previous experience in agile/scrum environments with a focus on continuous improvement.
