Senior Software Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve reliable, scalable applications and distributed services. This role is centered on Python, microservices, and event-driven architecture, with opportunities to contribute to .NET-based systems. You will help shape technical direction, uphold engineering quality, and strengthen the team through mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality applications and services, primarily using Python.

• Contribute to and support .NET and C# systems when required by product or platform needs.

• Design microservices with clear service boundaries, well-defined interfaces, and appropriate ownership.

• Build and maintain event-driven pipelines using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, and effective topic design.

• Define and evolve REST and/or gRPC APIs and reliable inter-service communication patterns.

• Participate actively in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design decisions.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing practical guidance and constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable software.

Key Responsibilities:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong proficiency in Python and its ecosystem, including experience with frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.

•Hands-on experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.

• Practical experience with Apache Kafka or comparable event-streaming or message-broker platforms, such as RabbitMQ.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.

• Solid understanding of API design, including REST and/or gRPC, and common inter-service communication patterns.

• Experience working with databases, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong knowledge of software design principles, testing practices, maintainability, and operational reliability.

Prefered Qualification:

Familiarity with .NET and C# is an advantage.
