  • OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

The role holder is responsible for working with multiple ICT and customer teams to understand their business requirements and design data, business intelligence and analytics solutions that perfectly fit their evolving business requirements.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Qualification

  • Bachelor level degree in ICT or mathematical discipline from an internationally recognized institution

Experience

  • 4 - 6 yearsof experience in Analytics & Data Science or other relevant ICT functional areas
  • Hands on experience with coding
  • Experience with techniques such as artificial intelligence, robotics etc.
  • Experience with analytical methodologies such as regression, classification, prediction, machine learning, and neural networks preferred

Skills

  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills (e.g. MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with other Specialists, SVE partners, system integrators, Ma'aden employees and upper management
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Good writing skills when dealing with colleagues within the ICT function, Ma'aden Employees, SVE partners and system integrators
  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Legal

  • Work closely with the different ICT teams to understand their information needs, ensuring that data, business intelligence and analytics solutions are an excellent fit to their evolving needs
  • Work with the different businesses to help shape and drive the development of their analytics and data science infrastructure, including data integration, reporting, machine learning and analytics platforms
  • Build robust, scalable data pipelines, integrated datasets, and insightful visualizations
  • Drive and deliver multiple projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Coordinate with the different ICT and customer teams to help measure the impact and efficiency of the new technologies and thus technology enabled business processes on their business
  • Work closely with multiple ICT and customer teams to contribute to the development of the different ICT and customer team's tools and skills related to analytics and data science within Ma'aden
  • Contribute to the preparation of Analytics & Data Science related reports for the management, auditors, etc. as per the directions of the Director: Architecture, Analytics & Data Science or Manager: Analytics & Data Science
  • Perform any additional responsibilities passed on by the Director: Architecture, Analytics & Data Science or Manager: Analytics & Data Science as required

Leadership

  • Contribute to a working environment and culture which engages all Analytics & Data Science staff
  • Report to the Manager: Analytics & Data Science on a periodic basis key operational KPIs
  • Submit to the Manager: Analytics & Data Science and above on an ad hoc basis, inputs for business planning and operational improvements
  • Investigate world class trends and best practices in Analytics & Data Science with the goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement
  • Investigate innovation opportunities within the Analytics & Data Science function, thereby continually enhancing quality and reducing cost by streamlining processes, procedures and automation

Relationships

  • Report to the Analytics & Data Science Manager / Section Head
  • Maintain healthy working environment within the team of Specialists
  • Coordinate / collaborate with other Specialists to resolve operational issues and deliver efficient services
  • Manage internal relationships regarding operational issues
  • Periodically oversee subordinate team staff, if any, for quality and efficiency
  • Periodically manage external relationships (SVE partners and system integrators) regarding operational issues
