This role plays a central part and senior role in safeguarding and elevating the reputation of Al Ghurair and its diverse portfolio of businesses. This position is responsible for overseeing quality control, reviewing and approving communication outputs, and ensuring consistent brand application across all channels.

In addition to governance and planning responsibilities, the role is handson: developing highquality content, managing brand standards, crafting internal and external communications, and enhancing Al Ghurair's digital presence.

This role requires strong critical thinking, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners.

This role demands exemplary written and verbal communication skills (English-Arabic), creative thinking, an ability to translate complex detail into accessible-for-all messaging, and a professional approach to time, management and deadlines. Project management is an essential part of this role, as is accountability for delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of a comprehensive communications & marketing strategy aligned with Al Ghurair's overall business goals and aspirations.
  • Contribute to and manage communication campaigns across the Group communications team, across the calendar year including and not limited to: key internal events, townhalls, awareness campaigns, launch of new initiatives across the company and its strategic sectors.
  • Develop and deliver toolkits, materials, templates and guidance across the businesses to empower them to champion and implement initiatives within their Business Units.
  • Partner with HoD to craft a compelling narrative that showcases Al Ghurair's reach, expertise and legacy, whilst ensuring the communications are relevant to employees and meeting our communications objectives, for each of our business units.
  • Support and manage campaigns across all of Al Ghurair's business units, according to their communication needs, initiatives and achievements to further create a feeling of being part of a bigger organisation and increase awareness of One Al Ghurair.
  • Develop highimpact internal and external communications, including announcements, critical messages, newsletters, and reports.
  • Create and schedule social media content for Al Ghurair channels, ensuring consistent messaging and timely engagement.
  • Draft key narratives, storylines, and talking points aligned with the Al Ghurair's strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the primary planner and reviewer for communications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, brand alignment, and adherence to corporate tone of voice.
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards across all written, visual, and digital materials. Approve content developed by agencies, BUs or internal teams before publication or distribution.
  • Ensure all communications are compliant with relevant regulations, cultural sensitivities, and Al Ghurair policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 710 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or brand management, preferably within a large, diversified organisation.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing quality control and approvals for corporate content.
  • Experience producing content for social media and digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing and content creation skills to develop engaging communication materials.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Project management experience / training is desirable for this role.
