Act as Technical Authority with corporate accountability for technical delivery across Hydrodynamics and Mooring system disciplines. Support Director - EPC Engineering (Hull & Marine) on development and stewardship of strategies towards capability development, sustainment and industry engagements.
Day-to-day operations:
- Manage technical stewardship and due diligence of project deliverables for Hydrodynamics and Mooring engineering disciplines and interface with counterparts across Floater and Topside Facilities disciplines.
- Provide support to EPC functional and business leadership on market developments, competitor assessment, corporate business strategy developments.
- Identify and steward development and career path for discipline personnel.
Technical competencies:
- Advanced working knowledge on design and operational aspects of floating structures and mooring systems.
- Well versed and abreast with industry standards, guidelines, procedures, specifications and hydrodynamics discipline engineering deliverables for various project execution phases.
- Technical ownership on development of knowledge-based engineering tools and systems for discipline capability scaling and sustainment.
- Strong delivery track record of end-to-end solution engineering across concept definition, technology development and project execution life cycle for floater designs and mooring / riser system integration aspects.
- Demonstratable industry / market acumen and broad networking within OEMs / engineering service providers / industry committees.
- Well versed hand-on expertise on one or more aspects related to offshore floater sizing and layout development, subsea interfaces and equipment selection, floater stability and weight control, structural design and hydrodynamic analysis (floaters & mooring system).
CAE Skills :
- Working experience with Microsoft platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive and Office suite.
- Hands-on experience with 2D drafting tools such as AutoCAD or similar, 3D modelling environment such as AVEVA E3D or similar, NURBS modelling tools such as Rhinoceros 3D or similar.
- Working experience with one or more areas of industry standard analysis tools for rules-based floater design / floater stability / structural / hydrodynamics & mooring engineering.
- Expertise in developing workflow automation tools using Excel VBA Macros / Python or equivalent scripting frameworks is a minimum requirement.

Education
Master's Degree in: Ocean Structures (or) Offshore Engineering (or) Naval Architecture (or) Marine Technology

Experience
Minimum cumulative experience 20+ years of experience with current role as in two or more of the following industry players culminating to role as Principal Engineer / Subject Matter Expert:
(1) Tier I EPCIC Turnkey Services and Contractor Organizations as Principal and Subject Matter Expert roles.
(2) Specialists offshore floater / subsea engineering service providers with track record on floater / mooring system concept definition to construction follow up / handover phase ownership.
(3) Offshore Production Units Lease-Own-Operate organizations.
Functional membership in industrial networks such as OMAE / ISOPE / OTC / SPE committees and organizations.
Strong network with OEMs and engineering service industry.
