Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Siemens Energy IP (MDMS) to support Smart Grid and IoT initiatives. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Energy IP product functions, ensuring seamless integration, accurate metering data operations, and enhanced system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning
- Lead strategic planning and optimization of the MDMS (Energy IP) platform to align with Smart Grid and IoT objectives.
- Ensure alignment with overall business and technology roadmaps.
2. System Management
- Manage end-to-end configuration, deployment, and support of the Energy IP platform.
- Handle meter data processing, system integration, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Design, implement, and operate VEE (Validation, Estimation & Editing) rules as per business requirements.
3. Operations Oversight
- Oversee daily MDMS operationsdata collection, validation, synchronization, and integration with downstream systems.
- Monitor system performance, health, and compliance with SLAs.
- Drive AI adoption in Smart Grid operations for enhanced efficiency.
4. Technical Expertise
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Energy IP configuration, deployment, and maintenance.
- Expertise in SQL, Oracle, and scripting for automation and data handling.
- Experience troubleshooting issues related to billing, meter reads, and integration failures.
- Perform software upgrades, patch releases, and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Integrate Energy IP with third-party and enterprise systems.
5. Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Foster collaboration across teams and contribute to building in-house expertise in MDMS and smart metering.
6. Compliance & Confidentiality
- Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to organizational safety and security standards.
- Ensure business continuity through proactive system management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in Smart Grid or MDMS (Energy IP) solutions.
- Certifications: Siemens Energy IP certification preferred.
- Languages: English mandatory; Arabic preferred.
