We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Structural Design Engineer with a strong command of Revit and a minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design. The successful candidate will lead the development of structural systems across a variety of building and infrastructure projects, driving coordination, modeling excellence, and engineering quality from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural modeling and design efforts using Autodesk Revit for various building and infrastructure projects.
- Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations using software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and STAAD.Pro, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes, etc.).
- Develop and manage highly detailed BIM models and associated documentation, integrating with multidisciplinary models (architecture, MEP, etc.).
- Create and review design drawings, construction documents, and specifications with a focus on accuracy, coordination, and constructability.
- Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure structural systems are fully integrated and feasible.
- Conduct site visits and provide engineering support during construction to ensure design intent is realized.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and modelers, ensuring Revit and BIM standards are consistently applied.
- Assist in establishing and enforcing internal Revit standards, workflows, and quality control processes for structural design.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, client presentations, and design review meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of structural design experience, with expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Strong background in both reinforced concrete and steel structures for mid- to large-scale projects.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of BIM workflows and model coordination techniques.
- Experience with interdisciplinary coordination and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex design issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with client-facing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on high-rise buildings, commercial developments, or complex infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with international and local construction standards and permitting processes.
- Experience leading BIM coordination meetings and working in a collaborative design environment.
- Knowledge of parametric design or Dynamo scripting is a plus.
