Winner has created an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our Sharjah office.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Work independently and lead structural design and drawings.
- Lead a team of engineers and draftsmen.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Possess sound knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to design using all common building materials.
- Prepare reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Process construction documentation, including responding to RFIs and commenting on engineering submittals.
- Review engineering designs and drawings and ensure proper coordination with architectural, MEP, and site conditions. Drawings issued to the Structural Manager must be well-coordinated and error-free.
- Proactively collaborate and provide guidance to other team members to deliver innovative, balanced, and best-value solutions that meet client requirements.
- Work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Be open-minded and able to follow instructions from the Structural Manager.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 1015 years of professional experience working on building and industrial projects.
- Experience in the design and specification of building structures in steel, concrete, and masonry according to American and British Standards.
- Familiarity with local UAE authority design requirements.
- Proven experience delivering projects from design through completion in a multi-disciplinary and/or multi-office project environment.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software including CSi ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, and Prokon, in addition to in-house spreadsheets.
- A solid working knowledge of AutoCAD with the ability to carry out coordination and reviews.
- The ability to assist other engineers in preparing project designs using the latest codes and standards.
- The ability to perform structural design and calculations as directed by the UAE team.
- The ability to coordinate with drafting staff to produce finished drawings from sketches and/or prepare structural drawings and sketches to a high standard.
- The ability to follow company standards and procedures, including design and checking processes.
