Job Summary:

To manage, monitor, and enhance digital service platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security to support the bank's business operations and improve customer experience.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform Linux/Unix system administration tasks, including shell scripting and automation.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate on minor development tasks, debugging, and enhancements using Java or similar programming languages.
  • Understand system architecture concepts, including application layers, integrations, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as caching (e.g., Redis), queuing (e.g., JMS, RabbitMQ), patching, and lifecycle concepts like end-of-support and version upgrades.
  • Monitor, scale, and manage the production environment to ensure continuous availability and reliability.
  • Provide system support for digital services, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Assist the development team in managing and debugging application servers and sandbox environments.
  • Implement updates, upgrades, and software releases to enhance system functionality and performance.
  • Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, patching, and night operations as required.
  • Ensure digital platforms comply with security, regulatory, and operational standards.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain system stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define business and technical requirements for digital platforms.

Qualifications, Education AND EXPERIENCE Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing digital services, production environments, or system support.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and system administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, analyzing data, and optimizing performance.
  • Basic to intermediate Java development skills for debugging and small-scale enhancements.
  • Understanding of systems architecture, integration points, and dependencies.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure components such as Redis (or other caching tools), queuing systems, patching cycles, and version lifecycle concepts (EOL/EOS).
  • Experience with production monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk).
  • Strong knowledge of application servers (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat) and system troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
  • Experience in DR processes, night operations, and release management.
