Role Overview
Senior-level systems administrator responsible for the stability, security, and continuous operation of enterprise systems across on-prem and cloud environments. Hands-on role with on-call responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system maintenance, updates, patching, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Support system migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Administer Windows Server environments: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Group Policy.
- Manage identity and access across Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Operate virtualization platforms and enterprise storage systems.
- Manage backup and recovery operations, including restore testing.
- Run vulnerability remediation and patch management cycles.
- Administer endpoint management and security platforms.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability; resolve incidents and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain asset inventory for servers, devices, licenses, and warranties.
- Provide escalation-level support to internal teams.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and operational records.
- Participate in on-call rotations and maintenance windows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is recommended.
- 8+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Experience with VMware or equivalent virtualization platforms.
- Experience with enterprise backup and storage platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online, including migrations.
- Basic scripting or automation using PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms.
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Relevant technical certifications are an advantage.
Working Conditions
