Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end cloud environment, including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and security, with a focus on hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure, adhering to the well-architected framework.
- Develop and execute cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, prioritizing efficient cloud migrations while optimizing existing on-premise systems, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity best practices.
- Lead infrastructure migration methodologies, driving mass application movements into Azure, AWS and/or OCI within global enterprise environments, ensuring compliance with security and governance requirements.
- Foster a culture of cloud computing expertise internally and externally, promoting continuous learning and upskilling to drive cloud adoption, with a particular focuson cybersecurity awareness.
- Act as a key stakeholder in validating new cloud or SaaS solutions, ensuring alignment with the organization's architecture roadmap and security standards.
- Implement and manage systems, solutions, and processes for cloud cost management, monitoring, scalability, and redundancy, with data-driven insights and a security-first mindset.
- Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to rigorous security and compliance best practices and incorporating the principles of the well-architected framework.
- Collaborate effectively with Enterprise Architecture, Data Platform, DevOps, and Integration Teams to promote best standard practices for cloud adoption and security across the organization.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, addressing and resolving technical escalations promptly to ensure uninterrupted cloud operations and robust cybersecurity measures.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in Azure and AWS-based cloud architecture and migration skills is must, aligning with the hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure environment, while considering cybersecurity at every stage.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud and infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networks, data, and applications, to design robust cloud infrastructures following the well-architected framework principles.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years as an IT Infrastructure Architect, with a strong focus on managing AWS and Azure clouds, servers, storage, and networking, and implementing security best practices.
- Proficient in scripting with Python and PowerShell, enabling automation and streamlined cloud management, with security measures integrated into the scripts.
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies, such as Office365, Windows Server, AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, REHL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Hyper-V, Microsoft Threat Protection, Azure ATP, O365 ATP, MCAS, Azure IaaS-PaaS-SaaS, Azure AD, SSO, Azure SQL, MS SQL, Power BI, Kubernetes, and Docker, with security configurations as an integral part.
- A data-driven approach to decision-making, utilizing data, stats, and insights to optimize cloud operations and drive strategic choices, incorporating security metrics and compliance evaluations.
