The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, assessing, and hiring qualified candidates to meet the organization's manpower requirements. This role requires a proactive and consultative approach to recruitment, strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple hiring priorities in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent will work closely with hiring managers and business leaders to deliver effective talent acquisition solutions that support organizational growth and workforce planning objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements, job specifications, and hiring priorities.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job requisition to offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract high-quality talent.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job portals, social media platforms, employee referrals, professional networks, and career fairs.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates.
- Conduct phone and virtual interviews to assess candidates qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Facilitate and manage assessment exercises where applicable.
- Conduct reference checks, employment verifications, and background screenings.
- Prepare and extend employment offers to successful candidates.
- Negotiate compensation packages within approved guidelines and ensure alignment with internal equity.
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and key business stakeholders to understand evolving workforce needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on recruitment strategies, talent availability, salary benchmarking, and hiring market trends.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular recruitment updates and realistic hiring timelines.
- Advise hiring managers on candidate selection, interview techniques, and hiring best practices.
- Collaborate with department heads to support workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Liaise with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and industry partners to support talent acquisition efforts.
- Facilitate alignment between business objectives and recruitment strategies to ensure successful hiring outcomes.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates and provide timely updates on application status.
- Promote the organization's employer brand through recruitment campaigns, networking events, and career fairs.
- Support employer branding initiatives on social media and recruitment platforms.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
Recruitment Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the recruitment databases.
- Monitor recruitment KPIs, including time-to-fill and quality-of-hire.
- Ensure recruitment activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information.
- Support ad hoc HR projects and talent acquisition initiatives as assigned.
Onboarding Support
- Coordinate pre-employment documentation and onboarding processes for new hires.
- Work closely with HR colleagues and hiring managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably within the facilities management, property management, engineering, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes and talent acquisition best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously and work under tight timelines.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
