Job Summary
The Senior Technical Advisor will provide high-level technical leadership and advisory support across aerospace programs, with a strong focus on Total Quality Management (TQM), design and product supervision, operations & maintenance (O&M), technical training, crew management, and blueprint interpretation. The role requires deep aerospace expertise, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to support strategic, operational, and compliance-driven initiatives within Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Advisory
- Act as a senior technical authority for aerospace systems, structures, components, and processes.
- Advise executive management and engineering teams on technical risks, improvements, and best practices.
- Support decision-making on product lifecycle, reliability, maintainability, and safety.
2. Total Quality Management (TQM)
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of TQM systems aligned with aerospace standards.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audits, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
- Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
3. Design & Product Supervision
- Review, validate, and approve aerospace designs, drawings, and engineering changes.
- Supervise product development and modification activities from concept through production and deployment.
- Ensure designs meet performance, safety, certification, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues.
4. Operations & Maintenance (O&M)
- Provide technical oversight for aerospace operations and maintenance programs.
- Develop and review maintenance strategies, manuals, schedules, and procedures.
- Ensure fleet availability, reliability, and cost-effective maintenance practices.
- Support troubleshooting of complex technical and operational issues.
5. Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Design and deliver technical training programs for engineers, technicians, and operational staff.
- Mentor junior engineers and supervisors, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Support localization initiatives and capability building within the organization.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
6. Crew Management & Supervision
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to multi-disciplinary crews and teams.
- Support manpower planning, task allocation, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure teams follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
7. Blueprint & Technical Documentation
- Interpret, review, and approve blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, configuration control, and traceability.
- Support change management and documentation updates throughout the product lifecycle.
8. Compliance, Safety & Regulations
- Ensure adherence to aviation authority regulations (e.g., GACA, EASA, FAA as applicable).
- Promote strict compliance with safety, airworthiness, and operational standards.
- Participate in safety reviews, investigations, and risk assessments.
Experience
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in the aerospace industry
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of aerospace systems, structures, and materials
- Expertise in quality systems and aerospace standards
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with lifecycle management, configuration control, and reliability engineering
