Scope of the Role
Responsible for developing detailed technical interior design drawings, coordinating with all project stakeholders, and ensuring that design concepts are translated into accurate, coordinated, buildable, and high-quality technical documentation. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, local regulations, documentation standards, and company requirements while supporting project delivery from design development through execution and site coordination.
Technical Design
- Translate approved design concepts into coordinated and buildable technical solutions.
- Prepare complete construction documentation packages including plans, elevations, sections, detailed drawings, schedules, specifications, shop drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Develop detailed interior fit-out drawings including joinery details, ceiling coordination, material detailing, custom furniture, and construction details.
- Prepare finish schedules, material schedules, and technical specifications.
- Review technical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, quality, and compliance with project requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-current systems to identify and resolve technical and coordination issues.
- Coordinate with designers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, samples, and mock-ups where required.
- Resolve technical and coordination issues during project development and construction.
- Participate in site visits and technical inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and support project execution.
- Maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and technical records in accordance with company procedures.
Job Competences
- Strong expertise in construction documentation and technical drawing production.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out detailing, joinery detailing, ceiling coordination, and material detailing.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, finishes, furniture, and interior fit-out systems.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong understanding of documentation standards, specifications, schedules, and BOQs.
- Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Excellent Proficiency in Revit
- Working knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- High Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Excellent coordination, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and documentation quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of local building codes and industry standards.
- Familiarity with AI-powered productivity and documentation tools is an advantage.
Professional Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in technical interior design, preferably within interior fit-out or construction projects.
- Proven experience in preparing construction documentation packages, shop drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating technical design and project delivery experience.
- Strong experience in interior fit-out detailing, joinery detailing, ceiling coordination, and material detailing.
- Experience coordinating architectural drawings with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-current systems.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with SketchUp is preferred.
- Experience with BIM coordination and site technical inspections is an advantage.
- Experience in high-end residential, hospitality, workplace, retail, or commercial interior projects is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
