Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Office Engineer - MEP to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role will play a crucial part in overseeing the design, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of technical knowledge in MEP systems and demonstrate leadership in managing project timelines, budgets, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze MEP design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the integration of MEP systems into the overall project design.
- Prepare and maintain MEP-related documentation including shop drawings, submittals, and design calculations.
- Lead the technical office team in resolving MEP-related issues during the construction phase.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct site visits to assess work quality, compliance with MEP standards, and provide solutions to technical challenges.
- Prepare reports and documentation for project management and stakeholders, highlighting any issues and proposed resolutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering within the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software, including BIM tools.
- Strong knowledge of local codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
