Senior Technical Site Engineer

A fast-growing, global technology company operating at the forefront of autonomous systems and aviation technology is expanding its presence in the UAE and is looking to hire a Senior Technical Site Engineer.
This is a hands-on, senior technical role combining Tier 3 production support, SRE, and DevOps responsibilities, with strong exposure to mission-critical systems, customer-facing environments, and global engineering teams.
What you'll be doing
- Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex production incidents
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems
- Monitor and optimise system performance using observability tools
- Work closely with R&D, DevOps, and Product teams globally
- Write scripts, automation tools, and apply hotfixes where required
- Support local deployments, releases, demos, and live operational events
- Serve as a local technical expert in customer and stakeholder meetings
- Help build and mature on-site support operations in the UAE
- Mentor and support other on-site technical engineers
What we're looking for
- 6+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or Tier 3 production support
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and MongoDB
- Production experience with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems
- Strong experience with observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana)
- Cloud experience (G42 preferred, AWS also acceptable)
- Confident debugging, patching, and managing production releases
- Comfortable working in mission-critical or regulated environments
- Strong communication skills and confidence in customer-facing situations
- Able to work independently in complex, fast-paced environments
