The Senior Technical Writer is acting as Technical Documentation Coordinator and is responsible for managing and executing all technical writing activities across multiple stakeholders, including Product Management, Project Leadership, Global Marketing, and Business Management. This role ensures timely creation, updates, and alignment of technical documentation for laboratory instruments and related products, while coordinating internal and external resources to deliver high-quality outputs documentation to adapt to new trends and customer, sales and service wishes

Responsibilities - What makes your everyday life at BCHI EXCITING

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Ensuring consistency and compliance with standards
• Technical documentation coordination with stakeholders of the BUCHI organization
• Ensure availability of the required technical documentation for approval and at product launches
• Manage version updates and changes of existing documents in close collaboration with Product Management
• Plan documentation roadmaps for major projects and new product developments with the Head of Project Lead
• Align with product managers to improve the content in respect to our internal ChatGPT Q&A for our sales and service organization Process Improvement:
• Evaluate and implement modern tools and methods to improve efficiency in documentation workflows.
• Content Consistency: Ensure consistent terminology and structure across all product documentation.

Skills - What skills do you need to bring to BUCHI

• Education as technical redactor or long experience in technical writting
• Strong technical writing skills with solid understanding of laboratory equipment.
• Excellent English (spoken and written); Skills in German very beneficial.
• Proficiency in technical writing tools (e.g., prefered Schema ST4, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, illustration tools, CREO Illustrate).
• Strong organizational and managerial skills to plan and distribute multiple tasks in parallel.
• Effective interpersonal skills to motivate cross-functional teams and secure timely inputs.
• Openness to new tools and methods for documentation.
• Experience working in international environments with diverse cultures (e.g., Switzerland, Egypt, US).
