Job Summary:
The Senior Tendering Engineer will be responsible for leading the bid preparation process. This role involves coordinating with various departments, analyzing tender documents, and ensuring compliance with client requirements while formulating competitive and comprehensive proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management:
- Lead the preparation and submission of tenders for performance-based facility management projects.
- Analyze tender documents to identify requirements, risks, and opportunities.
Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to gather information and develop proposals.
- Mentor and guide junior tendering engineers in bid preparation processes and best practices.
Cost Estimation:
- Develop accurate cost estimates and pricing strategies for bids.
- Ensure that all costs are aligned with the performance-based model and client expectations.
Quality Assurance:
- Review and enhance tender submissions to ensure quality, compliance, and competitiveness.
- Maintain a database of past bids and lessons learned to improve future submissions.
Client Engagement:
- Engage with clients during the tender process to clarify requirements and expectations.
- Present proposals and negotiate terms as needed.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and potential clients.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to facility management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tendering or bid management, with a focus on performance-based facility management tenders.
- Proven track record of successfully winning tenders and managing the bid process.
