Senior Trading Operations Analyst, Physical Metals in our office in Dubai
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operational processes for the gold trading business to ensure efficient and accurate execution.
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for all matters relating to the firm's gold trading activities.
- Coordinate and monitor physical bullion delivery processes, including interactions with vaults, refineries, and logistics providers.
- Oversee trade booking, pricing validation, settlement processes, and reconciliation for bullion transactions.
- Liaise with liquidity providers, refineries, vault operators, and physical suppliers to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, discrepancies, and client-related queries, escalating where necessary.
- Provide regular reporting and performance analysis on the gold trading unit, including operational metrics and market insights.
- Support funding and liquidity management related to bullion transactions.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the internal gold trading application, working closely with the technology team to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational risk mitigation.

Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related subject.
- Experience working with a bullion trader, commodities desk, or physical metals trading operations.
- Strong knowledge of international bullion markets, including pricing, fixing, settlement processes, and global supply/demand dynamics.
- Practical experience in deal booking, physical supply, settlement processes, and premium discount.
- Clear understanding of the physical bullion ecosystem in the UAE and regional markets.
- Experience working with refineries, vaults, liquidity providers, and physical metal suppliers.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
